I need to convert my 3 wire output composite wire from the Roku to a 5 wire component outlet that goes to the TV. I have found were you can buy a converter that goes from 5 to 3 but can not find the reverse. Is this even possible? The TV is an old Pioneer Plasma that is 12-15 years old that and will simply not die. I would hate to retire it while it is still working. 
I thought about this during lunch today and the solution is simple. Use the hdmi on the Roku and buy a hdmi to component cable adapter. Wish I had thought of this before I spent the extra $20.00 on buying the roku with the composite cable.
