FSU junior pitcher Jamie Arnold is a heck of a baseball player, projected to be a top-five pick in this year's MLB Draft. After his breakout season in 2024 where he was a First-Team All-American and had a 2.98 ERA over 105.2 innings with 159 strikeouts, he announced Wednesday that he is pitching for a good cause in 2025.
Arnold announced on his social media accounts that he'll be donating $25 to the West Florida chapter of the Cystic Fybrosis Foundation for every strikeout this season. He chose this cause because of a bond he developed with a bond he built with a young FSU fan, Bradley, who has been diagnosed with CF. If Arnold were to match his 2024 strikeout total in 2025, that would mean a donation of $3,975 to the foundation.
