The FSU baseball team is holding its first day of practice today, now three weeks out from Opening Day on Feb. 14 (home games against James Madison).

It's been reported elsewhere but also wanted to pass it along here as we've confirmed FSU receiver BJ Gibson will participate in baseball this spring as an outfielder. He talked about doing this going back to his days as a recruit, juggling two sports. Gibson was widely viewed as a very good high school baseball prospect, committing to Tennessee before he eventually flipped to FSU in April 2023.

I'm honestly not sure yet what the logistics will look like there on a day to day as far as classes, football and baseball. But it will be fun to talk with him down the road about the experience.

We had some baseball interviews lined up for Thursday and Friday. But with some icy roads and campus being shut down, those have been pushed back to next week.
