FSU beach volleyball stars honored with year-end awards

Several Seminoles were honored with CCSA postseason awards following a standout 2025 season. Audrey Koenig and Alexis Durish were named CCSA Co-Pair of the Year, Gella Andrew earned Freshman of the Year, and head coach Brooke Niles was selected Co-Coach of the Year. Both the Koenig/Durish and Andrew/Maddie Trusty pairs were named to the All-Conference Team. Andrew and Bailey Higgins were also named to the All-Freshman Team.

Koenig and Durish led the Seminoles as the top pair throughout the 2025 season, finishing with a 24-8 record. Durish boosted her career record to 85-19, making her the 19th-winningest player in program history. Koenig improved to 65-24 all-time, continuing her impressive run as both an indoor and beach volleyball standout. The duo was named CCSA Pair of the Week on February 24, 2025.

Andrew and Trusty posted a 17-9 record while competing across three courts: 1-0 on court one, 14-9 on court two, and 2-0 on court three. Andrew, a true freshman, finished 22-10 overall with 17 wins on court two. Trusty enjoyed a breakout year, collecting 24 wins across four different courts.

In her debut season, Higgins recorded a 19-13 record. She went 2-0 on court two, 13-12 on court three, and 3-1 on court four. Higgins earned CCSA Pair of the Week honors alongside Carra Sassack on March 3, 2025.

Niles collects her third CCSA Coach of the Year award after leading Florida State to a 23-10 record in 2025. Now in her 10th season, she holds a 286-71 career record and stands as the winningest coach in NCAA beach volleyball history.

Florida State heads to Baton Rouge, La., this weekend for the CCSA Tournament. The Seminoles open the tournament against No. 11 LSU at noon Eastern Time on Friday. Live stats will be available on Seminoles.com.
