Track and Field FSU has 10 more athletes qualify for finals on Saturday

The Florida State track and field teams saw 10 student-athletes qualify for finals Friday at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Kenter Stadium.

After two days of competition, the Seminoles will compete in 17 finals on Saturday and will also race in both the men’s and women’s 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

Both the men’s and women’s 100-meter finals will feature three Noles on Saturday.

Shenese Walker turned in the fastest time out of the preliminaries in the women’s 100 at 11.20, followed by Lucy May Sleeman in sixth with a time of 11.39 and Joella Llyod in seventh at 11.40.

In the men’s race, Tyler Azcano qualified for finals in second place in the men’s 100, with a personal best of 10.27. Neo Mosebi finished third at 10.29. Jaiden Rollins ran a lifetime best of 10.44 for a sixth.

Kaelyaah Liburd captured the second-fastest qualifying time in the women’s 400-meters, clocking a personal best and the third-fastest time in FSU history at 51.73.

The Seminoles grabbed the top two seeds in the 110 hurdles, led by Andre Korbmacher in first at 13.52, followed by Tyson Williams at 13.54.

Brooke Mullins scored five points for the women’s team after her performance in the women’s 3,000 steeplechase, placing fourth with a time of 10:02.88. Emily Brown crossed the line in fifth with a lifetime best and the eighth-fastest time in FSU history at 10:05.64.

Curtis Williams grabbed four points for the men’s team after taking fifth place in the triple jump with a mark of 7.36m (24-1¾). Kyvon Tatham placed sixth with three points at 7.30m (23-11½). Jaiden Rollins concluded the event in 10th at 6.99m (22-11¼).

The women’s team currently sits in 10th place with nine points, while the men sit in 12th with nine points.

The final day of ACC action will start the men's discus at 2:00 p.m. All sessions will air on the ACC Network Extra and live timing will be available on flash results.
