FSU sports information:

The sixth-ranked Florida State Men’s Golf team prepares for a tough NCAA Regional starting Monday when it battles the field at Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif., from Monday-Wednesday.

The Seminoles are one of six No. 1 seeds in the six regions played, and look to defend their top seed against 13 other schools. FSU’s competition includes Ole Miss (2), Illinois (3), Texas A&M (4), Stanford (5), UCLA (6), SMU (7), Missouri (8), Fresno State (9), UNLV (10), Augusta (11), Liberty (12), Sacramento State (13) and Siena (14).

The Top 8 seeds in the region are all ranked in the Top 50 of the Clippd rankings used by the NCAA.

The Top 5 finishing programs in the upcoming regional advance to the NCAA Championship held May 24-29 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa located in Carlsbad, Calif.

Florida State looks to advance to its fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Championship, which would be the program’s longest streak since making it six years in a row from 2012-17. A Seminole has individually won an NCAA Regional in each of the last two years, with Luke Clanton winning last year’s Morgan Hill Regional and Brett Roberts winning the Palm Beach Regional in 2022.

The Seminoles tied last year’s record with four All-ACC selections, as Gray Albright, Clanton, Frederik Kjettrup and Tyler Weaver each were recognized by the conference. Weaver also won ACC Freshman of the Year, while head coach Trey Jones won co-ACC Coach of the Year.

FSU’s five-player lineup includes plenty of NCAA postseason experience with Cole Anderson, Roberts, Albright, Kjettrup and Clanton. Anderson begins play for the Seminoles on Monday at 11:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. PT.
