Florida State has selected PBK as the architectural firm for FSU’s new lacrosse-only stadium, it was announced Wednesday.

Florida State lacrosse will play its inaugural season in the spring of 2026 as the 13th women’s lacrosse program in the ACC. FSU’s lacrosse-only facility is slated to include a turf field, press box and multiple seating options for fans as well as a team building with locker rooms, meeting rooms, team lounge and other student-athlete spaces.

“This is another exciting step for our lacrosse program,” Florida State vice president and director of athletics Michael Alford said. “PBK is an industry leader in fan-friendly, functional spaces for the future of college athletics. Our lacrosse-only stadium will feature multiple social spaces, fan amenities and different seating options to offer an exceptional viewing experience for our fans and help create a true home-field advantage for our team.”

PBK is an award-winning architecture, engineering and consulting practice that is a leader in design solutions. PBK boasts an impressive and diverse lineup of sports venues, including stadiums, field houses, pools and team buildings for some of the country’s top athletic departments.

“The home of Seminoles lacrosse will provide a state-of-the-art facility for our student-athletes to train and strengthen their bonds as teammates,” Florida State head coach Sara Tisdale said. “There will be elements incorporated into this stadium that no other program in the country has, which will give us an immediate advantage for the first group of FSU lacrosse players while showing future Seminoles that this facility is truly focused on creating an incredible student-athlete experience. As we prepare to host our first game, the loyal Florida State fan base will be welcomed into a facility that creates a dynamic environment for them to cheer us on to victory.”

Florida State signed 14 players in November as the first part of its inaugural signing class. The first season begins in February 2026.
