The World Cup Connection
After returning from the 2023 FIFA World Cup just a week earlier, Jody Brown and Onyi Echegini made a big impact against No. 9 TCU. Brown, who represented Jamaica in the World Cup, played a perfect ball into the box forEchegini who extended the lead to 2-0. Both players helped their respective teams to the Round of 16.

Starting off the Right Foot
Florida State has been near unbeatable at home to start the season. In its last 19 home openers, the Seminoles hold an 18-0-1 record. In its history, the Seminoles hold a 24-2-2 record in their home openers.

Taking Care of Business
When teams come to Tallahassee, Fla., they rarely leave with an upset. FSU is 86-5-3 at home against teams not in a Power Five Conference.

Home Sweet Home
Florida State is 191-16-11 (.901) at home since 2005.

The Noles are 122-8-8 (.913) in their last 138 matches played at home, dating back to 2011. FSU has 44 wins over ranked opponents during that time.

Owning the State of Florida
Since 2011, Florida State holds a 21-3 record against teams in the state of Florida. The Seminoles have won 11 straight games against teams from the state of Florida.

Success in the Non-Con
The Seminoles have been dominant in non-conference play in recent history. FSU holds a streak of 17 consecutive games where the Noles have not been beaten holding a record of 15-0-2. USC was the last team to defeat the Noles back on Sept. 1, 2019.

Taylor Huff Named ACC Offensive Player of the Week
After a strong start to her career as a Florida State Seminole, women's soccer midfielder Taylor Huff was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week on Aug. 22 following her performance at Texas A&M and at No. 9 TCU. Huff is the first player in school history to win an ACC Player of the Week following their career debut for the Garnet and Gold.
