Can't block a clear path to the base. Her foot was partially in front of the base which is why our base runners hand hit her foot instead of the base. I agree it was something that could have went uncalled. But, he wasn't wrong in what was called by what the rulebook says.My season ticket seats are in section 3 with an excellent view of the third base line. My son-in-law and I were perplexed by the obstruction call at the bottom of the 4th in the third game. I watched a replay after I got home Sunday to see the play. Not having expert knowledge of the softball rules, I must accept the official ruling. But, I must admit that I believe that FSU certainly benefited by the decision. Does anyone have an explanation that might help me understand the ruling better?
