In a nationally-ranked showdown between in-state rivals, the No. 21/25 Florida State swimming and diving team faces No. 4/5 Florida on Friday and Saturday.

Swimming events will be held on Friday at 12 p.m. ET at Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training in Ocala, Florida. Diving is set to take place at UF’s O’Connell Center Natatorium, with 1-meter and 3-meter springboard on Friday and platform on Saturday, both days starting at 11 a.m.

The matchup is FSU’s last dual meet of the 2024-25 season, and the team’s third consecutive in-state contest.

Live results can be found on Meet Mobile and DiveMeets. Direct links and live updates from the pool can be found by following and connecting with the Seminoles on Twitter/X, Instagram and Facebook.

“We are looking forward to swimming fast in a great facility in Ocala,” FSU coach Neal Studd said. “We have to pick our postseason team, so the athletes know what’s at stake. UF is an amazing team, both sides are top-5 in the country, so we will get a good look at what to expect in the postseason.”

The Seminoles boast an unbeaten record in 2025, with home victories over Villanova and Tampa on January 8 and 24, respectively, along with a women’s team win over Miami on Monday. FSU currently is ranked No. 21 (men) and No. 25 (women) in January’s CSCAA Coaches Poll. Nine ACC men’s teams and eight women’s squads are in the top-25 nationally.

The Gator women are ranked No. 4 and the men check in at No. 5 in the latest national poll. UF is coming off a sweep of Texas A&M on January 17, with a 193-107 men’s win and a 179-120 women’s victory.

On Monday, FSU defeated Miami at home. The Seminoles extended their win streak to 21 consecutive meets against the Hurricanes, an unbeaten stretch that dates back to 1999. In a tightly-contested contest, Florida State earned a 157-143 win, as the women's team and men's divers squared off against UM. Florida State won seven of 16 events, but a sweep of the top four places in one race and a 1-2 finish in another two helped the Garnet and Gold to the team victory. Senior Maddy Huggins won three individual events and also contributed to a relay victory. Fellow senior Gloria Muzito notched one individual win and was on both first-place relay teams, while freshman Alice Velden earned one individual victory and one relay win.

The ACC Swimming & Diving Championships are up next for FSU. The Seminoles’ complete schedule can be found at Seminoles.com (Men | Women).
