Track and Field FSU to compete at meets in Boston and Lubbock

FSU sports information:

The Florida State track and field teams will split for the final meets of the indoor regular season, starting on Friday.

The Seminoles will compete in distance events at the David Hemery Valentine Invite in Boston. Competition is expected to start at 4 p.m. on Friday.

The jumps, sprints and throws groups will compete at the Jarvis Scott Invite in Lubbock, Texas. The women’s weight throw is expected to start at 3 p.m. on Friday.

LAST TIME OUT:
The Noles recorded six top 10 FSU performances at the Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky.

Bieke Schipperen was victories in the women’s 3,000-meter, collecting a meet record and seventh-fastest time in FSU history with a lifetime-best performance of 9:08.36.

Kaelyaah Libird won the women’s 400, capturing a meet record and sixth-fastest time in FSU history with a career best of 53.24

Tyson Williams won the men’s 60-meter hurdles, crossing the line with the seventh-fastest time in FSU history at 7.69.

Micahi Danzy finished second in the men’s 400, tying the fifth-fastest time in FSU history at 46.34.

The women’s 4x400 relay team of Liburd, Tyra Wilson, Aliya Green and Jaden Francis placed second with the third fastest time in FSU history with a time of 3:35.30.

Zach Cloud competed in the men’s one mile, clocking the seventh-fastest time in FSU history with a career best of 4:01.76.

Suus Altorf captured her second meet record of the meet in the women’s one mile at 4:36.42.
