The Florida State volleyball team added another transfer on Tuesday afternoon as they signed 6-2 middle blocker Delaney Ewing.

“Delaney is very aggressive on the court and plays with a lot of passion in the middle blocker position. Delaney works hard in transition and is ready to attack the ball in every rally. We are excited to have her here at FSU this spring,” FSU coach Chris Poole said.

The Fort Collins, Colorado, native played 110 sets for San Francisco in her freshman campaign. Ewing recorded 155 kills and hit .309 in 30 matches for the Dons. She also had a great presence at the net as she recorded 83 blocks for the Dons. Ewing earned WCC Freshman of the Week on Oct. 7 after she totaled 15 kills and recorded a .462 hitting percentage in two matches against Saint Mary’s and LMU.

Ewing played her high school volleyball at Fossil Ridge High School where she was named the 2023 5A Front Range Conference Player of the Year and was named to the All State All Star Team. She also helped Fossil Ridge CHSAA 5A State Championship Match.
