FSU sports information:

The Florida State volleyball team begins its home slate this upcoming weekend with the Seminole Invitational. FSU hosts SMU on Friday at 6 p.m. at Tully Gym and wraps up the tournament facing Auburn on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Both matches will air on ACC Network Extra.

Coach Chris Poole sits at 898 career wins, and looks to become just the eighth Division I head coach ever to reach the 900-win mark if FSU can defeat both the Mustangs (1-2) and Tigers (3-0).

The Seminoles (3-0) ride some early momentum after winning the Classic City Clash in Athens, Ga., last weekend. FSU swept Western Carolina, Georgia and UConn in three sets each.

Junior middle blocker Khori Louis led the ACC last weekend in hitting percentage, hitting .583 against Western Carolina, Georgia and UConn. The Tallahassee native is a preseason All-ACC selection along with fellow junior Audrey Koenig, who tied for the team lead last weekend with 24 kills.

In winning the Classic City Clash title, FSU doubled up its opponents in hitting percentage, out-hitting the opposition .440-.220.

Junior middle blocker and Oregon transfer Kiari Robey got her FSU career off to a strong start, averaging 2.3 kills per set and hitting at a .455 clip. Sophomore outside hitter Audrey Rothman joined Koenig in leading the team with 24 kills.

Returning to Tully Gym is SMU transfer and fifth-year player Emma Clothier, who was an outstanding All-America middle blocker for the Seminoles from 2019-22.
