The No. 19 Florida State volleyball team (15-5, 7-3) bounced back in a big way on Sunday afternoon as they put together one of its most complete performances of the year in a sweep (25-14, 25-11, 25-13) over Duke (8-13, 4-6) at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C., on Sunday afternoon. FSU has now won 12 consecutive matches over the Blue Devils dating back to 2015. The Seminoles became just the third team this season to sweep Duke in Durham.

There was very little drama from start to finish on Sunday afternoon as the Noles jumped out to an early 6-2 lead in set one. Duke scored five out of the next seven points, but the Seminoles responded with a 12-2 run to put the set out of reach as they cruised to a 25-14 victory.

The two teams went back and forth early in set two, but the Noles used a huge run again in the middle of the set to take a 20-8 lead and went on to win the set 25-11 and take a 2-0 lead in the match.

The Seminoles found themselves in a 5-1 hole early in set three but quickly erased the deficit with a 15-2 run to flip the script and take a 16-7 lead. The Noles went on to close out the match with a 25-13 win in set three.

FSU's defense was phenomenal as they forced 23 errors by the Blue Devils and held Duke to just 22 kills. It was the first time that FSU has held a team to a negative hitting percentage since Feb. 26, 2020, against Troy.

On the offensive side, the Seminoles hit .353 and were led by Audrey Koenig and Taylor Head who recorded 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Head recorded her fifth double double in the last six games as she had a game-high 15 digs to go along with her 11 kills. Koenig has now recorded 10 or more kills in 17 consecutive games which is the longest streak of her career. Kenna Phelan led the way with 20 assists.

The Seminoles will return home for four consecutive matches starting on Friday against Cal. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. on ACCNX.
