FSU sports information:

The No. 19 Florida State women’s basketball team will welcome Tampa for an exhibition game on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Center.

Admission and parking are free and live stats will be available.

The Associated Press released its preseason poll on Oct. 15, with FSU ranked 19th. It’s the second straight season the Noles start the season ranked in the AP poll.

Florida State is one of six ACC schools ranked in the top 25 including Notre Dame (No. 6), NC State (No. 9), Duke (No. 11), North Carolina (No. 15) and Louisville (No. 19), while four others received votes. Non-conference opponents Tennessee, Illinois and Gonzaga also received votes.

Since the 2022-23 season, the Seminoles have appeared in the AP top 25 18 times under coach Brooke Wyckoff, peaking at No. 12 on Nov. 13, 2023.

Ta’Niya Latson and Makayla Timpson were named to the 2024-25 Preseason All-ACC Team. The Seminoles were also picked to finish the season in fifth place.

Single game tickets are now on sale at the FSU Ticket office. The Seminoles will officially open the season on Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. against North Florida. The contest will serve as the annual Education Day game.

Any word on when Valenzuela will back in the court?

Surprised to see Vieagas get the start. Would’ve guessed either Bowles or Bonner.
