FSU women's hoops plays host to Miami (Sunday at 2 p.m. on ACCN Extra)

The Florida State women's basketball team (14-4, 4-2 ACC) will welcome Miami (11-6, 1-5 ACC) to the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Seminoles will welcome 38 former players for alumni weekend.

FSU leads the all-time series 51-19, dating back to 1974-75 season. The Noles defeated the Hurricanes twice last season and have won three of the last four meetings.

On Thursday in the win over Clemson, Makayla Timpson secured her 41st career double-double, tying the program record that was set by Natasha Howard (2010-14). Timpson also leads the ACC in blocks (54) and blocks per game (3.00) and is the highest scoring forward in the league with 322 points, averaging 17.9 per game.

Ta’Niya Latson leads the nation in scoring (26.4 PPG), as the Seminoles rank second nationally in points per game (92.2).

The Last Time Out

The Seminoles outscored the Tigers 26-12 in the fourth quarter, holding Clemson to 33 percent shooting for the win, 82-67.

FSU had three players contributing double figures, led by Latson who contributed her fourth double-double of the season, with 20 points and 10 assists. Latson added six rebounds.

Timpson secured her 10th double-double of the season, with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Timpson also added two blocks.

O'Mariah Gordon scored 15 points, two blocks, two assists and two steals.
