The Florida State women’s tennis team (10-1, 1-0 ACC) defeated Boston College (4-8, 0-3) 4-1 on Friday afternoon at the Weymouth Club in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Florida State has now won eight consecutive matches, tied for the second-longest streak in school history.
FSU found itself down on the doubles courts early. No. 86-ranked Eva Shaw and Maria Juliana Parra Romero began their match down 2-1 before rallying back to win the next five games, defeating Tola Glowacka and Alex Torre 6-2 on Court 1. Millie Bissett and Laura Putz were down 4-3 and went on to win their next three games, defeating Seren Agar and Natalie Eordekian 6-4, and clinching the doubles point for Florida State. Maelie Monfils and Tina Li wrapped up the doubles session on Court 3, defeating Olivia Benton and Nadia Dimovska 6-3.
