FSU sports information:
The No. 75 Florida State women’s tennis team will wrap up its 2025 home schedule with two conference matches at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center, beginning on Friday at 4 p.m. against No. 12 NC State and concluding the weekend hosting No. 36 Wake Forest on Sunday at noon.
FSU holds a 27-8 record against NC State dating back to 1992. The Seminoles defeated the Wolfpack 5-2 last spring in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Florida State is currently on a two-match win streak against Wake Forest, most recently defeating the Demon Deacons 5-2 last season.
In the latest ITA poll, the Noles saw significant gains in the doubles rankings. Maria Juliana Parra Romero and Eva Shaw jumped from No. 89 to No. 42, and Millie Bissett and Laura Putz moved from unranked to No. 69.
Shaw and Parra Romero are 12-1 overall this season and hold a 5-1 record in ACC play. The duo most recently competed against the No. 12-ranked pair from California that was unfinished with a 5-4 score before the doubles point was clinched. Earlier this season, Shaw and Parra Romero earned a 12-match doubles winning streak, tied for third all-time in FSU history. Parra Romero also tied the school record for consecutive doubles matches won with 14.
Bissett and Putz hold a 6-2 record this season and are currently 1-1 in ACC play.
Friday’s match against NC State is a Seminole Heritage match, featuring a Whataburger gift card giveaway. Concessions will also be available for Friday’s match. Sunday’s match against Wake Forest is Senior Day and Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day. Admission is free to all Florida State home tennis matches.
