Lottie Woad, the 2024 ACC Golfer of the Year, has been named as one of five finalists for the 2023-24 Division I PING Women’s Golf Coaches Association Player Year Award. Woad won the championship at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur tournament in April of 2024, finished in third place at the 2024 NCAA Las Vegas Regional Championship, and will lead the Seminoles into the 2024 NCAA Championships beginning Friday.

Woad is joined by Zoe Antoinette Campos (UCLA), Ingrid Lindblad (LSU), Julia Lopez Ramirez (Mississippi State) and Catherine Park (Southern Cal) on the WGCA Player of the Year finalist list.

Woad enters the 2024 NCAA Championship Finals in Carlsbad, Calif., (May 17-22) averaging 70.10 strokes in 21 rounds during seven events – the lowest single-year scoring average in school history. She led Florida State to the team championship at the Collegiate Invitational in Guadalajara and to five top-five team finishes this year. Individually, she finished in a tie for 2nd place in the individual standings at the Collegiate Invitational and tied for 2nd place finish in the Florida State Match-Up.

Woad is second in school history with a career stroke average of 70.68 in 53 rounds during 18 career events. She has three career collegiate wins on her resume, has 15 top 10 finishes in her 18 career tournaments, and is a cumulative total of 55 strokes under par for her entire Florida State career.

Woad was recently named as one of 10 finalists for the 2024 ANNIKA Award.

Woad was an All-American First-Team by the WGCA and All-American Second-Team by Golfweek in 2023. She was selected as the National Freshman of the Year by the WGCA and was an All-ACC selection as a freshman in 2023 and as a sophomore in 2024.

“We are all very proud of Lottie,” FSU coach Amy Bond said. “She has had a great year, has been consistent with her play in each of our events, and is a vital part of our success. Lottie makes her teammates better, just as her teammates make her better every day.”

Woad played in the Chevron Championship – her first LPGA Major Tournament – in April of 2024. She finished in a tie for 23rd place.

The Seminoles, who begin play in their school record eighth consecutive NCAA Championship Finals event on Friday, are one of only four teams in the nation that have qualified to play in each of the last eight NCAA Championship Finals. The Seminoles are joined by Southern Cal, Stanford , and Texas in an elite group of programs that have played during the final week of the season in each NCAA Championship since 2016.
