Can't believe Stannis let that happen. He officially is off my list. Crazy seeing the dragon come in. I'm curious to know if the dragon is hurt from those spears?? Dany needs to free the other 2 now and take charge.

We started GoT threads at exactly the same time. LOL

Here's what I wrote in mine just in case the mob delete or merge them:

Wow...

Stannis actually went through with it. Cold-hearted mofo REALLY wants to be king. I hope for nothing but the worst of all deaths for Melisandre. She's one evil bitch. Princess Shareen's screams were difficult to listen to. I had a visceral reaction to them, despite my mind knowing its fiction.

Oh...and Drogon FTW!!!!!!

Those two story lines were so strong tonight I can't really even remember anything else that happened. Phenomenal episode. Devastating that there are only 10 per season!

I paused it for a while after the Sheeren scene. I was so angry. Sending Sir Daavos off was a ruse to get him out of the way. I have a feeling he won't be long for this world after he finds out.

Ollie will be trouble in the finale.

The fighting put was good. I have to give it to the show writers, they've made Dany's story compelling. Drogon was fantastic. But damn did it look fake when she hopped on and flew off.

Go home Dorne. No one cares.

Where the hell were the thousands of unsullied?

For a father to sacrifice his daughter like that is unfathomable. He and his bitch witch need to die a special way.

Too bad Jon Snow could not save more wildlings. Seems he got a bunch of women and children. Though for a moment there the dude wasn't going to open the gate.

Anyone notice how they zoomed in on the hands touching of Jorah and Dany, she gonna get the cooties from him.

And it did look fake as hell when she got in the dragon, kinda wished they just showed her fly off from far away, we didn't need the over dramatice cheesy closeups, but whatever, good episode all together.

Have a feeling my boy Bronn's gonna get offed next week, if he takes out Areo, then he becomes a legend.

Who thinks Arya is gonna show up for Trant as his next underage whore and cut him where he effs.

Didn't notice any hand-touching of Dany and Jorah, but it would be pretty lame if she's immune to fire but then catches grayscale.

I was wondering the same thing about the Unsullied. Where were they all?

Agreed. I don't get it. I understand that there has to be tension for the scene but it went from 10,000 trained Unsullied to Sgt Hulka's platoon. I know, guerrilla warfare, they all can't be there, etc. but there's more security at an FSU football game guarding the field in the 4th Quarter.

They've been building for this moment since day 1 with the sacrifices on the beaches, king's blood, visions, etc. Glad they shot it like they did watching the faces of everyone else. You win or you die. Agree with Sarah though re: Davos. Davos may have been lifted up from Flea Bottom to a Knight but I don't know if he can even stomach this.

Even Paulie Walnuts was like

But all A.J. cared about was the lack of ziti.

Stannis and Mellisandra need to die an awful, awful death. That bitch of a wife too. How you even let your child approach that. No way I would fight for him.
Dragon scene was pretty awesome. I am actually pulling for Dany now, not sure if that is from the writiers, or if it is because of Tyrion.
Agree with what was said earlier, needs to be more than 10 episodes.

Help an old Nole out: what did Trant do to get on Arya's hit list?

Trant killed her "dancing partner" from Season 1 (I read it in an article, because I forgot as well). I believe it was someone she liked that trained her how to sword fight and maybe gave her "the needle", which was her sword for awhile.

That's correct, Syrio was his name and he fought of guards so Arya could escape. When she fled, he was fighting Trant and she believesTrant killed Syrio. You may remember what Syrio always said about what to tell Death, "Not today."

Thanks. I vaguely remembered Joffrey had ordered him to torture Sansa, but that was (I think) after Arya had run away.

I believe Syrio fought them off as best he could with a wooden practice sword, steel wins.

Both the Sheeren and Trant's asking for a child at the brothel scenes were a bit much for me in an otherwise very good show.

He was fighting with a wooden practice sword, that is correct. I'm only saying it never shows him killed and Arya believes him dead at the hands of Trant. And yes, Needle was a gift from Jon Snow, didn't notice that part and was only responding to the training.

How is the many faced god guy going to take Arya going off on her own to kill Trant?

The Stannis and daughter scene was just awful to watch since I'm a dad.

Why does the light god constantly need the blood from a king? Also, where are the brotherhood? Weren't they followers of the light god?

I am bored of the Winterfell story at this point. Just get it over with.

Where is Gendgry hanging out these days?

Re: The Brotherhood...Beric Donderion, the knight who was repeatedly brought back to life by the Lord of Light, was/is a really cool character. Gendry is with them though, isn't he?

I said the exact same thing on twitter last night about the Unsullied as I was watching that scene. There seemed like there were only 20 there. They made the Unsullied seem like completely amazing soldiers, but since then the guys in the masks seem to overwhelm them no problem.

Gendry was taken away from the brotherhood and brought to Dragonstone. With the help of the onion knight he escaped via boat. I assumed he went across the narrow sea. I doubt if we see him again.

Gendry is off in a rowboat somewhere. The Brotherhood gave him to Melisandre for gold and then she took his blood with leaches for her ritual to have Robb, Joffrey and the head Greyjoy killed .He was to be sacrificed but Davos set him free in a rowboat.

Great episode...I don't know how all of you keep up with their names.

about damn time the dragon earned it's keep, even though I thought it could have done more damage. I'm guessing Dany will now be saddling up on it more often, I would think???

The dude killing his daughter was one of the harder moments I can ever remember watching on tv. It had me boiling, was mad at the writers and producers in a way for even going there. Not sure how you can have him and his witch mistress and wife punished enough. I mean even if they turned all of them into a Reek type of character it wouldn't be good enough....and death certainly isn't good enough, that's just a given for this show.

Another great episode this week for sure.

I also really like Silicon Valley...just keeps getting better.

This x10000. I love that SV comes on right after GoT. Nice "wind down" after some of the more intense episodes.
I actually laughed out loud 2 or three times last night, and i never "lol" in real life during tv shows, but when the chubby, stoner red head asked, "You think were going to dick slap the Hooli pieces of shit!" I lost it. The characters are all great in their own regard, and my favorite seems to change onto whoever is featured that episode. I hate sitcoms and most tv, but this is my second favorite show on right now and the only one I will even watch regularly besides GOT.

Weird. I don't remember that Gendry storyline at all. I guess he COULD still come back then, but it seems like between Tommen, Stannis, Dany, Littlefinger, all of the surviving Starks & Jon Snow...we've got enough candidates for the Iron Throne.

Started watching SV when GoT came back this season for that reason. The show is so damn funny we have finished season one and almost caught up in 2-3 weeks.

The last we saw of him was getting in a row boat, so the running joke on the asoiaf reddit's is that Gendry is lost at sea, rowing in circles since his one blacksmith's hammer arm is stronger than the other, and will be one hoss mfr once he is actually saved.

Solid episode, but I thought episode 8 was better. Hoping for a strong finale for once. So what are we supposed to think about Ollie, that he's going to kill Jon? There's no way... I think Jon is way too important, in my opinion he's one of the only untouchable characters (Tyrion is the other). Who else could Ollie possibly kill/hurt that anyone would care about? Sam? Gilly? Maybe he'll just try to poison Jon and hurt him badly?

I think Ollie is going to go and kill one of the wildlings causing a fight between the nights watch and wildlings. Just my thought on what I can see happening.

I assumed there were limited unsullied there because they had assumed that here political marriage and opening the fighting pits had put an end to that Harpy movement. That was what was implied to me. They were there merely as guards in that scenario, not in full numbers as if they were at war.
