Giants Sign Dan Uggla

Question for you all.

Since the Braves cut Uggla and are still having to pay his bloated salary. Are the Braves off the hook as the Giants signed the Uggla to a minor league deal?

Nope. Minor league contract for the minimum. Uggla gets to double dip and get paid by both.

Afraid not, though I'm no expert. There was a great line from Mark Bradley in the AJC today to the extent of: When Wren has his annual review with ownership, will Uggla count as one mistake, or 63 million of them.

I could be wrong, but I believe the Giants will pay him what they want (probably the minimum) and the Braves will pick up the rest of the tab.

i think this is how it works...so him signing with the giants minor league might save the braves...thousands?
