but I'm going to go with Full House as my # 1. The Velveeta just oozes throughout every episode...I know this, b/c my kids will watch it every single time it comes on.

Dang. ONLY one?

That pic is historic, because it's the only known photo of an Olson twin smiling.

My wife's is Two and a Half Men.

Mine would probably be Friends one of her favorites.

You need to divorce your wife.

Married with Children - the fact that this lasted for 10 years stands as proof that our country has more than its share of fools.

NEVER watch sitcoms.

Today's sitcoms cannot match the old re-run of I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, Sanford and Son, Bob Newhart, Mary Tyler Moore. JMO

You had me at Sanford and Son. Childhood memories sitting around watching that with dad as well as The Honeymooners.

Two and a Half Men was funny (to me) for a few episodes, then beat the same schtick into the ground for the next decade.

Kind of like Married With Children did.

Currently, it is Cougar Town. I like watching the old re-runs of actually decent to good sitcoms on TBS, but just the promos for CT make me want to murder the cast. Their 'jokes' aren't even jokes, they don't even follow any basic model of a joke.

All time though is tough to choose, probably anyone of the TBS original comedies could fit the bill though; especially the Tyler Perry ones.

Friends is ok, but I tell you what, nothing will test a relationship better than the 'WE WERE ON A BREAK' episodes.

Meh, I saved it on my DVR and watched it when she wasn't around. It was far from my favorite, I prefer the "nontraditional" comedies like Always Sunny, The League, Workaholics, Broad City, Louis, Wilfred, You're the Worst, Children's Hospital and Archer or skit comedies like Kroll Show and Key and Peele. There was only a handful of sitcoms my wife and I ever watch as the only ones that come to mind are Two and a Half Men (just me), New Girl (for her but I watch it), Big Bang Theory, Modern Family and that's it as far as I remember. None of the sitcoms are at the top of my list, they stack up on the DVR until we watch them marathon style sans credits, commercials or openers.

I will say this for Two and Half Men, I liked it well enough to keep watching it but that ending.....that may have been the worst ending to a tv show of all time. Just constantly breaking the fourth wall and destroying all of what happened before it for entire seasons. I'm trying to think of a worse ending and can't. Not even Dexter or HIMYM and Dexter was horrifically bad.

They've put out a bunch of crap during this time. However; there was a time when HIMYM and Two and a Half Men were good (both eventually ended up in the crapper). Personally, I love The Big Bang Theory and I kind of half-assed pay attention to Two Broke Girls (a.k.a. Kat Dennings' cleavage).

As far as the worst sitcom, I've got to side with the OP on this one.

Mr. Belvedere and Step by Step were not good (aside from Patrick Duffy's hair).

I was a fan of Silver Spoons

Family Guy if that counts. Only after the return though.

Anything by Tyler Perry, & most TBS sitcoms. I don't get them or their appeal.

Most bad ones I would not watch past the first episode and have forgotten more than I can recall.

But as a young boy I did watched Three's Company for obvious reasons and it has to be on the list as one of the worst ever.

I would put All in the Family as one of the better ones of old and Seinfeld is the top of list the last 20 years.

Seinfeld.

Can't stand the guy, the show or the people who quote the show

Seinfeld is one of my top 5. I do things all the time that I find relates to a Seinfeld episode. I loved Married with Children 1st 5 years or so when the kids were high school age but it was crap when tbey hung on and the kids were in their 20s living at home.

Original question, I hate Friends.

My wife is addicted to BBT. It annoys the crap out of me and along with Friends has to be the worst of all time. Seinfield is not far behind.

Tough call between two and a half men and big bang theory. Both horrible shows that are flat out offensive to anyone who understands and appreciates real comedy

I also don't understand all the love for Modern Family.

Seinfeld is one of the ten best tv shows ever, not just sitcoms.

My kids watch Full House every night,it is so bad it is almost enjoyable to see how bad it is

I would also nominate The Nanny

For me most of the non-NBC Thursday night comedies (Cheers, Cosby, Family Ties) of the 80s were horrible. All of them.

Golden Girls, Different Strokes, Facts of Life, Growing Pains, continuation of Three's Company, Webster, Silver Spoons... etc, etc, etc... terrible shows, didn't watch them then unless I was forced to somehow, and never watched the reruns unless it was while waiting for a dentist appointment or an emergency service for my car.

Ok, not really ALL of the others were horrible. Night Court was pretty good, as was Alf for a season or so.

Seinfeld was great at exploiting things people can relate to. That's why so many people love it. That doesn't mean it is well written, well acted or even funny. It made a lot of people feel like they were in on an inside joke because they found themselves in similar situations.

A few years ago I broke down Seinfeld episodes (I'm a weird nerd). After the first few seasons they followed a similar pattern. There were three separate situations or scenarios that would all combine and resolve in the final scene. Knowing that, I believe you, me or almost any literate person could write a Seinfeld episode.

For instance:

Jerry gets held at a pharmacy for eating a piece of gum before he buys it
Elaine and Kramer go shopping for cowboy boots because Kramer's smell really bad
George is dating a toll booth operator

In the final scene George, Jerry, Kramer and Elaine run through a toll booth because the girl George was dating is operating the booth. The same cop that questioned Jerry at the pharmacy pulls them over for not paying. Kramer's new boots itch really bad so he takes them off and stinks up the whole car.

That took me about 10 seconds to come up with. Imagine what someone could do with a few hours, let alone days or weeks?

They had a formula and it was entertaining to a lot of people.

Empty Nest, Mommas family, Steve Harvey, Jamie fox, The Simpsons, Full House, Just the 10 of us, Alf, Step by Step, Family Matters, Head of the Class, Perfect Strangers, Rock all sucked balls.

I did however like Frasier, Cheers, Seinfeld, Friends, East Bound and Down, Weeds, Hung, The big C etc. I'm starting to show my affinity for premium programming.

This may get me shot but here goes:

The Simpsons
South Park

Actually, you can put just about any FOX comedy on the list as being some of the worst ever produced. I can sometimes watch part of an episode of "That 70s Show" but that's about it.
