Anyone see it yet? Opened last night at our theater. Planning on going this weekend. Most of the reviews have been solid. ‘‘Tis the season for horror, saw the Nun, surprisingly good. Hell Fest sucked. Hope this one is worthy.

I think the daughter and I are going to see it this weekend.

The local Alamo Drafthouse theater showed the original Halloween on Wednesday. We went to that and had a blast. They had it in their largest theater and it was sold out.

I read that this one was the only sequel that Carpenter was ok with. But I don’t know how you could dislike Season of the Witch (haters goin hate)

I plan to this weekend. Is it necessary to watch the other 10 to be able to follow the new one?

~80% on Rotten Tomatoes.

How many times can Michael Meyers escape from the insane asylum? How does he keep finding the same creepy Captain Kirk mask?

In this story arc, this is the first time. All the other sequels didn’t happen and he’s been sitting in an asylum since the first one

If you are worried about Timelines/Canon, the Halloween canon may be the most confusing since Zelda.

I believe they go like this.

Timeline 1: Halloween (1978) -> Halloween 2 (1981) -> Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers -> Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers -> Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers

Timeline 2: Halloween (1978) -> Halloween 2 (1981) -> Halloween H20: 20 Years Later -> Halloween Resurrection

Timeline 3: Halloween (2007) -> Halloween 2 (2009)

Timeline 4: Halloween (1978) -> Halloween (2018)

Timeline 5: Halloween 3: Season of the Witch

They did a segment with Jamie Lee Curtis about the movie on the news this week. They said when you see this one, forget about Halloween 2 thru infinity. You just have to remember the original movie. All the others did not happen.

Timeline 5: Halloween 3: Season of the Witch
Timeline 5 is the only acceptable answer.

Which was the one that had the little girl in the clown costume running and crying the whole time? I've never rooted for a crazed lunatic to murder a young, innocent child harder in my life than during that movie. He was the anti-hero for sure in that pile of crap.

Halloween 4 & 5 - at the end of 4 she is standing at the top of the stairs covered in blood.

Did anyone watch this weeks AMH -- that was all kinds of f-ed up.

And that same child actor grew up to be fine as wine in the Rob Zombie Halloween flick.

...and now.

Saw it this afternoon. It was decent, for what it was. It was an interesting story and incorporated how the trauma caused to Jamie Lee Curtis’s character affected her life beyond just that night.

Great movie. A lot of fun, the theater was going nuts near the end. A lot “screen talkers” offering commentary.

I had some Halloween trauma back in the day after a social evening at the Phryst and walking into the wrong dorm and its elevator.....The female RA wasn't a very nice person....

I loved the movie. I did not think it was scary but really cool. Was done well!!!!
