The Hollywood elites are some of the more despicable people on the planet. They are used to controlling and owning people and can make or break their careers. It's pretty well known how terrible they treat people. Joss Whedon turned out to not be such a swell guy recently. He has a persona of women's rights, but over the years the way he's actually treated women shows a different side.

I thought it was one of the perks of getting into "making pictures" - that you get to keep being a complete scumbag, but also look down at others that just don't get your creativity and enlightenedness?
And is it still "harassment" if there's 100+ years of consistent history to shows exactly what you can expect if you go to Hollywood to try and make it big?

That seems strange. I'm not sure there's a correlation between liking women, and liking kids. Are there examples you're aware of where someone says they started off only wanting to bang adult women, and before long they were knee-deep in minors?
of course they are correlated - the common thread being "like to victimize people made helpless by their ambitions, watch me get my rocks off by wielding my power over them"

I don't know if one followers the other but I've heard about pedophilia in Hollywood. Bullet in the head for those people.
To be fair, I'm defending womanizers, not pedophiles.
You can find plenty of pedophiles, womanizers and hypocrites of various types without going to Hollywood. If you're having trouble with your search, type in "Washington, D.C."...or "Catholic Church".

Agreed. This is not political but more a question of power. Those who have been able to get away with this or other types of behavior eventually believe no one will call them out on it. Throw in a media that is afraid to upset the power brokers that provide them their info and thus their jobs and you get this type of behavior going unchecked. Sadly this will fade away because Harvey and people like him will make phone calls and remind people that he invites them to the cool parties, gives them the scoop they need and if they don't play ball no one else in the community will talk to them. In true cowardly media they will just not write about it or report it.

There is a difference in not being loud about denoucing someone and actively defending them. If you look he has no real defenders and most have harsh criticism when asked. That's very different than the vigerous defense we've seen of the other.
What kind of mindset do you have to have to basically trap a woman in the back of a restaurant and proceed to BOITC in front of her? The fact that he felt free to do this just speaks volumes about the world some of these guys live in. Sad.
