Most if not all college football web sites, publications and reporters made their money for many years covering recruiting.

Today commitments just don't mean much (Travis Hunter)

Players are now signing with the highest bidder (Cam Ward).

Program, tradition, culture, history, coaches just don't carry the weight they use to.

Signing day was this past week, did anyone even miss it or know they missed it.

Recruiting used to drive viewership and subscriptions, does anyone even follow recruiting anymore??

I know for me it has lost a lot of luster, and along with other changes have dampened my enthusiasm for college football. I remember waking up on the first Wednesday in February and immediately logging in to see who we had signed, who we lost, and who we flipped from one of our rivals, and what surprise signings we gained. I remember Bobby had the reputation of the best closer in recruiting, there were always a few nice surprises on signing day.

Like many things as Dylan said, "Oh these times they are a changing".
