The meter's running everyday for Willie Taggert and at this point in time, it's hard to believe if he's making progress or not based upon the sentiments posted here. Much debate occurs on here how much longer Thrasher/Coburn should give him. I suppose only they and Andy Miller know how much it's costing FSU athletics to be caught in this current situation. Two necessary groups of stakeholders are holding all the cards for Willie and us, that would be recruits and assistant coaches. Like it or not regardless of how you feel about Willie, FSU has to look like a very unstable situation at best right now. Until the OL and QB positions get vastly improved, which doesn't look to be on the horizon, next year likely looks very similar to this year. And is real improvement on the OL really rest with 2020 signees, unlikely. The QB position rests with a 4 year returner who struggles significantly or a true freshman right outta high school. If Blackman leaves, the starting QB will have taken little to no snaps in a college game, clearly a formula for disaster. And if you're a marketable assistant coach on an upward trajectory are you really gonna listen if they call? There's been too much turnover on the staff. So in the player/assistant coach marketplace it certainly could be setting up to be that the "perception" of FSU is that it's not a success opportunity for anybody. Recruits and coaches don't care if it's Jimbo's fault, Wilcox's fault, Jimbo's wife's fault, Andy Miller's fault or any of the popular suspects' fault. They just know it's a huge mess and if you're not already emotionally invested in FSU football, why bother?
