It SUCKS how that all went down. If there had even been a hint of something like this happening then maybe it would be different but man….
That said…
After going 11-1 at Jackson State last year and now pulling off the biggest Signing day flip in history, Deion just vaulted to the top of the 2022 HC wishlist for schools around the country. Assuming they do well again (and how could they not with Hunter being added) almost every school who has a coaching vacancy is gonna want him.
Also, with or without Deion being at Jackson State for the next 3 years does anyone really expect Hunter to be there for the next 3 years? I sure as hell don’t.
Unless the social media firestorm that Hunter is receiving right now from pissed off FSU fans burns a bridge I don’t see why we wouldn’t be one of the favorites to land him next year or the year after.
And if things go south with Norvell (and I really hope they don’t) this year, who knows… maybe we’re the ones hiring Deion next year.
