These guys are finding themselves and how to be a team tonight. I have said this before the season started and I'll say it again... this could be the most talented team I've seen here. I know that sounds crazy to some of you, but on that field there is so much damn talent it's scary. These guys, once they start to get into a rhythm as a whole team, I like FSU to be the sleeper this year.
I had a good time watching this game, playing against lesser talent, yes, I'm aware, but if you watched carefully early in the game this defense is pure mean. These guys are mean. It's obvious they showed that early but in this situation they were most likely told to pull it back, to not give teams something to prepare for, and to not risk injury. I like our Defense this year.
Offensively I think you're going to see consistency, Golson has one hell of an arm, I knew he had a good arm, but he has clearly been working with Jimbo and his release and zip is much faster than his days at ND. Our receivers, while still needing to settle down, run very very smooth routes and are lightning fast. The backfield, I don't need to go there, Cook and Pender and so fast and powerful it's going to be hard for any team to hold those two studs. The Oline is powerful, quick and very athletic, I was surprised at just how athletic every player on that line is tonight.
Don't sleep on this team, and I think this is going to be a fun year to watch our boys. We may lose one or two, but I see some fun games in our future and I wouldn't count them out of the playoffs if they continue to play with attitude, aggression and consistency.
