Internet service in rural Jackson County?

We are currently using CenturyLink at our dad's farm house that we still own and use for family gatherings. They upped their price by almost 40% after the introductory period. Was wondering if there's anything better available. Att only can provide 1.5 mb.

We have AT&T and it sucks big time. We were basically told even though we are paying for high speed service they will not spend any money to correct the issues we are having. We are the end of the service line and 1/2 mile from the nearest house. Their tech said the lines need replacing but the company will not do so. We are looking into a satellite option.

Have no idea, but I think you should check Hughes Net or Excede.
