Is Aer Lingus considered a low-cost/budget airline?

I keep seeing them pop up on international flights from Orlando w/some really cheap prices. Too good to be true?

I don't love the idea of flying all that way on a budget airline and getting nickel-and-dimed on luggage, carry-ons, snacks, drinks, and meals. I'd just as soon pay a little more and fly Delta/American etc. and get all of those things included with my ticket price, if possible. But if they're legit, hot damn do they have some deals!

Any LRers flown Aer Lingus? (and yes, it's the most fun name in all of air travel)

I've flown them several times. They're the national airline of Ireland, not a discount carrier.

Do check the plane they fly on the route. I've gone a couple of times and they've used 757s, which I don't care for when going overseas. Maybe the Orlando route is too far for that and they'll have a widebody plane (I've flown from EWR and BOS).

Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever.

Flew them from Dublin to London. Seemed about on par with the mid-level US airlines (Delta, etc.)
