After all the articles over the last few weeks about how just about every position group being older, more experienced, and stronger on both sides of the ball …… it seems like the biggest Variable is defensive end and whether of not we can keep getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks like we did last year.
If DE’s can be anything like last year, with our returning d-line and backfield we would likely have a lights out defense which wins us at least 1-2 extra games. Think we are strong against the run either way. But if they have a big drop off it dramatically impacts DB/LB coverage/opponents scoring and our ability to stay in games.
Do Verse, McLendon, Briggs and Fuller have what it takes to get the necessary pressure?
