College football is now just an SEC Circle Jerk, with a bunch of average penises duking it out to be named John Holmes.

The ONY reason LSU got a bump was because Auburn was overrated. Auburn is not a good team. Auburn is not a top 25 win. Anyone who looked at their roster before the season (and not just their conference affiliation) would be forced to agree that Auburn was an average team at best. Auburn is slightly better than 0-3 Louisville and just a hair better than an awful Jacksonville State team. In other words, LSU's win was no more impressive than a win over, say UNC or NC State. But, it was treated like a momentous victory that catapulted LSU from a mid-tier team to an elite team in the minds of voters and ESPN.

Then let's turn to the feel good Ole Miss Rebels, led be someone who had an actual history of being a bad guy/ cop puncher/ bad teammate (as opposed to a guy falsely accused of an awful thing, with a history of using naughty curse words). This media darling is the belle of the ball because they beat #2 Alabama in a game were neither team looked like a top 5 team. Actually watching these games may help voters, because it was clear that Alabama has big offensive problems, an average pass rush and a young/ weak secondary. Ole Miss is a throw up some shit and see what sticks offense, and a great defensive front 7 with no depth. In other words, these teams are flawed. But, Ole Miss rockets to the top of the polls and is now elite because they beat Alabama right? Well that would not be the case if Alabama was not overrated so vastly entering the season. Alabama was ranked #2 because, well... they are Alabama. They ALWAYS have to be #1 or #2. Even if they lose. Which they do. Every. Single. Year. Ole Miss, who by the way was picked to be a lower tier SEC West team in the preseason, gets the benefit of overreaction to a big win over another vasty rated SEC team from the state of Alabama. 'Bama had no business starting the season #2, as they roster is young, untested and without any true game breaker on offense or defense.

Why does all of this matter. Look at the schedules. Ole Miss has exactly 2 losable games left. LSU and Texas A&M. Both overrated. A&M laughably so. This is an unearned run for Ole Miss. Essentially, because they are overrated now, they are guaranteed to be a top 10 "force" for the remainder of the season if if they lose both games to similarly overrated SEC West teams.

LSU has 3 losable games, Ole Miss, Alabama and A&M. So, because they are all now so vastly overrated, they will also be ensured of top #10 status all season.

Bama has 2 remaining competitive games- LSU and A&M. See my point? It is all a large Circle Jerk, with the biggest penis out of a collection of average penises being named John Holmes.

Because all of these teams are overrated, a loss to one of the other overrated teams is rendered meaningless and a win over one of the overrated teams is exalted as a revelation.

None of this is saying that FSU can beat those teams, should be ranked higher than those teams or that they are not better than those teams. It is just obvious that the SEC has an unfair and unwarranted advantage. There is no intelligent basis to drop FSU in the polls in favor of either team. This is not an "age old" situation. This is a new phenomenon and it is indeed ruining college football as it speeds towards being the new WWF.
