a coaching staff does a lot. They recruit, teach, build character, plan x and os and many things. There is a special chemistry when they are all on the same page that produces special results
Jimbo may be 50% of the staff at best and he is responsible in the end but he is 1 of 11 coaches The staff is the problem
Jimbos first staff with Stoops as DC was out of the park
Jimbos staff with renegade Pruitt was out of the park
bobby had some great staff and some really bad ones at the very end
SOS and Urban had some GREAT staff at UF but the last ones when they left were really bad. Honestly if the staffs had never changed the last time Bobby and SOS played our staff was so much better that SOS staff we may have beat them 8 of the next 10 games.
FACT is when you first build a staff it is mostly stars. all of your super star keep leaving and your worst coaches stay or dont get job offers. Not always - bowden kept andrews a long time and that was one of the keys to FSU in the 1990s. FSU has be totally raided of good coaches 2-3 times since Jimbo came in. We lost some good ones.
Our coaching staff is not elite as a group and not working well to produce elite results. Not saying it is Trickett or charles kelly but for sure I am saying (sorry guys this is fact) the group of offensive and defensive coaches are not getting the best result from our talent.
