The game Saturday whether it’s his last or not!

I think Ira is wrong to call for jumbos benchingfor potentially his last game

I mean let’s show some class and appreciation for what jimbo brought to Nole nation

For anyone to just be pissed and throw jimbo under the bus is just classless in my book

Ira, your wrong on this!

Oh, and I refuse to post in the TC, so I post here in the LR amongst friends!

I say no. He holds FSU hostage every year and this is what it's turn into. If it were my call I'd put him on leave with pay until further notice. It's not Jimbo State University, it's Florida State University. He's an employee at the end of the day and unfortunately time has come to start treating him like one...

If Jimbo is going, he needs to go now. Nothing good can come from him coaching with his bags packed.

You can't post in the TC. And Jimbo needs to go away tonight. He would/will turn Doak into a toxic boo fest. Players shouldn't be put in that position.

Gary, if I wanted to post in the tc I would

I would simply pony up the money and subscribe, but choose not to

He holds us hostage every year and in the end he holds us hostage as he leaves.
There can’t be anyone that doesn’t think he’s gone and most just want to move on. It’s like having a spouse who cheated, has gotten engaged and plans to move out but legally you can’t force them out until they’re good and ready, unless you’re willing to pay them some astronomical price for their half of the house. So they stay just to rub your nose in it.

No one is bigger than the program. His actions are hurting the program. Stop making business personal, because I assure you Sexton and Fisher are not.

Bobby Bowden, who built the program into a national football powerhouse, was not bigger than the program even after his dynasty when his decisions were hurting the program. He was given some leeway, but ultimately had to move on. If Jimbo, after one NC, two really good years with Winston, and otherwise a few solid years until the dumpster fire that was this year, thinks he is bigger than the program and wants to make demands while the powerhouse starts to burn on his watch, then a quick bye bye is in order.

I agree. That was my argument when Bobby put Jeff as OC. I said he thinks he's bigger than the program. No one is bigger than the program.

Then fire him already!

Enough of the BS,this whole thing from all sides is gonna stink the program up for who knows how long

That would cost FSU $40 million and our school cannot afford that.

The 8 year guaranteed contract was idiotic, but does anyone know if there is at least a partial offset if he takes a job elsewhere? If there is not, then my already low opinion of how the powers that be handled this will go even lower.

There probably is...so the Aggies will pay him $1 for 7 years.

Contract terms are key. A good attorney would have inserted provisions about offsetting with an amount that is reasonable compensation commensurate with the market for the position taken. I would hope, but have no idea if our University and Booster reps actually ensured that good attorneys drafted the contract to protect the interests of the University.

It's amorphous language. "Reasonable compensation." Obviously, a dollar is not it. But you can structure the salary structure for Jimbo to not run afoul of contract. And even if you did, WGF, it's litigation...

Any chance everyone in attendance can wear green, a #GreenOut, if Jimbo is allowed on the sideline? Show him the money and the door at the same time.

How in the hell does Jimbo even have a say on whether or not he wants to coach? Shouldn't that be up to his bosses?

I am still hopeful the planes = he is officially signing a contract right now = announcement this afternoon.

He can’t leave until deal is signed and FSU can’t do anything until he quits.

We will see but predict a breaking news announcement in next 8 hours.

Seeing as we've had 3 decommits and two fathers state that the situation is unsettling enough to cause issue, wouldn't that be cause enough for Wilcox to suspend Fisher w/o pay indefinitely for detrimental conduct?

I'm sure it's taking girlfriend and kids to college station to convince them it's not that bad....(FYI? It's bad)

Show them the quality Applebee's and I bet they stop at the Dixie Chicken

Apparently Boosters and/or FSU have horrible attorneys and negotiated a poor contract. We aren't about to pay $40 million to not let him coach one more game.

Doubt we would win that fight in court with Jimbo. He’d simply argue that he and his staff were using the same recruiting methods that they’ve used in the past to recruit very successfully, and that they typically had little contact with recruits in November. The staff is/was busy prepping for big conference and rivalry games, and most of the recruits are busy prepping for their high school playoffs.
In a nutshell, he simply says “I’ve consistently pulled in great trecruiting classes, and you’ve never done any recruiting at all. Which of us knows what we are doing when it comes to recruiting?”

Dude does not deserve to be anywhere on the sideline Saturday. Period. He has shown his true colors and gone about this whole thing in the most unprofessional way possible.

You have $40 mil lying around? (Legit question...This is the LR after all....)

After reading the Jimbo’s contract it looks like we can fire him for cause now. He has provision that expressly allows termination for cause if he enters into negotiations with another school (which he’s clearly done with aTm).

I am torn on whether I want him there. On one hand, he doesn’t deserve to be. On the other hand,it will be nice to see FSU fans waving him a one-finger goodbye.

I agree with you that I am torn. Maybe we should leave it up to the players. They don't deserve the booing if he is on the sideline so I am leaning toward him not being there.

I am confident that every single one of them will realize who is the intended target of the negativity.

Sad all the ugly being spewed. I am ashamed of the way some "FANS" have reacted. Until he quits or is fired he is still the coach of FSU and should be treated with respect.

Don’t agree at all.

That’s how a sucker would act, IMO. He’s shown his true colors. All respect is out the window.

I may be a jackass, a jerkoff, and a d-bag...but I ain’t no sucka!
