Thought about that, but I cracked both lenses and one of the arms. The glasses were also over 7 years old. Costa would probably charge me almost full price for that kind of damage.Originally posted by nole65:
Send them back to Costa and they will repair them for you cheap. They have a lifetime warranty for defects, but the cost to repair is always less expensive then buying a new pair.
Can I give you my mailing address?Originally posted by PoopandBoogers:
Worst kept secret in CFL- go to the costa hq in daytona, walk around back to the green bin, fill bag with "defect" costas, profit?

Sage advice IMO...will do.Originally posted by nole65:
I ALWAYS send mine in and it is never more costly than buying a brand new pair. Even with multiple lenses and arms broken. Its worth the 5 bucks to send them in and see what they offer. You have nothing to lose(well except the 5 bucks).
Which type do you have? I see some interesting ones on Amazon.Originally posted by cmanole:

Maui Jim's are great, but to expensive for my blood.
I was looking at pair called Reflectors...I think that was name. I can't find on Google for some reason. So it must not be the name, but that has to be close.
Anyway, they looked and felt great. They have a life time guarantee on them as well. They even replace a lost pair one time. But you can rip them half, crush with hammer, do whatever you like to them and they'll replace.
They are moderately priced too. Anywhere from $60 to $120ish.
I'll be sure to update if I figure out the name...kind of a worthless post without that part...sorry
Persol for me.Originally posted by Rhino_nole:

I've got two older pair. Doubt if they still make them and I can't remember the names. The thing about them are the lenses and not the frames so much although they do make some stylish frames now too...

Found more on Reflekts...I'm determined for someone join the band wagon with me.
A.) I'm 36 with 3 kids, I'm one life cycle away from being your dad, just substitute Tommy Bahamas with Ralph Lauren, Lacoste or Vineyard Vines attire. The filthy bottom of my shoes would never come near my craft beer selections cause I sip from fine glassware that's chilled. If I was cool, young and good looking like Bav, Persol would be a great choice (actually might buy their opticals to replace my Pradas).Originally posted by LBoogie28:
