just got an update: can’t find a link just yet.

That’s crazy to me if true, wow.

Not ideal for my fantasy team as much of it was on bye this week, was counting on KB. But hopefully the long term impact is a positive as Carolina seems to have no desire to throw to any of its WRs.

Wow, has Carolina completely given up?
NC State and Panthers fan at work was “urinated”. He is disgusted that the team seems to have thrown in the towel. Gregg Olson is still out and Funtress seems to be the next man up. Did I hear that Roberto perfecto is on the Panthers practice squad?

trade was completed 3 minutes before the deadline.Great trade for the Bills, dumb as hell for the Panthers. Panthers apparently want to play "small ball passing game" like the Patriots, but that is a laugh. I guess Funchess is impressive in practice.

I'm guessing Carolina didn't want to deal with the next contract for Benjamin and it would cause a lot of bad press for the team given some recent contracts disputes. Also Funchess and Benjamin are similar in style.

But given where the Panthers are right now, it doesn't make sense to me.

They could have waived him after this year and gotten a compensatory 3rd round pick. The 7th round pick is worthless. They got jobbed.

Both this trade and Miami's trading Jay Ajayi are puzzling. Unless they were in a conspiracy to take money and hide it overseas, this makes no sense. Does Miami even have a backup running back to step up? The last few games, no one else had more than 22 yards rushing. Panthers have another big stud WR in Funchess, but he only topped 40 yards in the last few games. 4th round picks??? Eagles and Bills made out like bandits.

From what I've seen, Panthers fans are incensed and Bills fans are ecstatic.

Yeah, I get that the Panthers are trying to relieve themselves of contract liability, but you're in the thick of the division and wild card race. Doesn't make sense.

The two fan bases feel exactly as they should. It's unusual for an NFL team to ever trade one of its' premier players; to do so at mid-season, when you're in the thick of the playoff race, is baffling.

Miami is waiting on James Cook...

Guess they'll be doing a lot more short passes to McCaffrey and hoping for YAC.

As a Bills fan, especially one that has been suckered into believing this season, I was ecstatic. Between being a KB fan and this being exactly what the Bills need, I couldn't be happier.

KB isn't the greatest receiver in the league, but he's a massive upgrade over what the Bills have, and the type of receiver they need. I am actually pretty high on Tyrod Taylor, but they need more in the red zone, and he doesn't trust his receivers to make a play at all. KB is a guy that can win a battle, and they need to start pushing Taylor to man up and make some more aggressive throws, especially on third down.

It's hard to figure this from the Panthers side, it seems kind of inexplicable for them to move such a big piece, without getting a body in return for this year's push.

From what I read Miami traded their RB because of his attitude and its a situation of addition by subtraction. I havent heard such talks about KB so that is very puzzling.

The team leaders on the Panthers don’t seem happy.

Yes, they want a Patriots-style offense based on "versatility" & want more fast guys on the field...they will get more yards, fewer touchdowns without Kelvin.

Panthers looking like a closet full of potatoes.
