So the Rams are going home. Bet the St Louis fans feel a little betrayed. NFL orgs up and move when the money presents itself. But we know FSU is a permanent fixture. And my loyalty is the school I grew up with, graduated from and worked at. Can't relocate that.

Just another reason why I like college ball better, the fans and the school are tied together. Not just a host for a rich person to milk the local community. Exception being Green Bay.

Oh yeah, there are definitely some things the NCAA could do better modeling after the NFL.

Heck, the disparity in fiscal access between the top and bottom is far greater in the NCAA. Texas money vs Marshall money. Not a level playing field. Not saying they should be, just commenting on the disparity between.

Imagine if the NFL teams put a CFL team on the schedule. Isn't that what scheduling a FBS team is comparable to?

The owner of the Rams is putting up his own money for the stadium in LA, right? At least private funding?

All for billionaires spending their own money on stadiums for their teams, rather than public funding.

Not if the CFL team still gets to use the 12th man. :)

The owner did spend all of his own money. Los Angeles didn't give him anything.

I agree. One of the many reasons the NFL is inferior despite having the better, more trained players.

Not sure what the latest cost is estimated for the project (estimated over 1 billion), but articles I read say the stadium will be built with private money, no public funds.

Also heard on the local Denver sports show, they estimate ALL the NFL teams will make money off of this as well. With the LA market back in play with a team, all the teams stand to gain from the next negotiation for TV contracts. Kroenke is worth $5.8 billion, he knows how to make money.

Capitalism at it's finest... the owner can do what he wants.

I used to be firmly in the camp of college football being better, but honestly I think there more corruption in college football.

Haha, apparently that is another $5.4 billion (give or take a couple hundred million) to the family coffers.

Momma always said, you can marry more in 5 minutes than you can earn in a lifetime.
