FSU in the 1st half missed the chance to bury the Canes by failing to convert several red zone drives. Both the OL and our backup RB came up short on 3rd & 4th yard inside runs in the red zone, including the first & goal from the 4 yard line. While Coach Fisher gets lots of credit for opening up the playbook with lots of motion, including misdirection passes to our TE, QB runs, a perfectly executed QB option play with a late pitch to Dalvin.... in the red zone we tightened our offensive formation and stopped using pre- snap motion. Why can't Golson run the option play with Cook trailing near the goal line too? And what about a jet sweep with Kermit? Or a misdirection pass to a TE or even the fullback who filters his way into the end zone?
Again, Jimbo's use of more creative plays helped us jump out to a big lead... why not keep the metal to the pedal?
Final requests: Any chance we could give George Campbell with his. Ombination of great height & speed a shot a running a deep fly or deep post pattern? And any chance that J. Patrick could be the RB that gets some chances when Dalvin Cook needs a blow, or if he tweaks that hamstring again?
