I'm sad they couldn't get their life straightened out. They definitely came from a VERY rough upbringing with little support before they made it to college, but I was hoping they'd overcome it.

I am curious about what caused the stabbing. Drugs? Theft? Jealousy over the girlfriend?

The victim was an 18 yo white guy with a black girlfriend and mixed son so I doubt it was any racism at least on the victim's side.

The brother at IU seemed to have his act together. I had concerns about the bother at East Miss. He seemed more vulnerable to falling off the tracks.

Unfortunately brains and talent are not the same category. Sad really. Such a waste, and his life behind bars will a normal life ending experience.
