LATE REPORT
Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said the Seminoles had "a good week of practice" and said Thursday's session also went well.
Fisher said RB Dalvin Cook is a go for Saturday which was expected. He said Cook actually practiced more last week when he was working through a hamstring issue than he did this week in preparing for Louisville.
It also sounds like all is well with DB Nate Andrews. Fisher blanked for a few seconds when he was asked about Andrews. His response was because Andrews has been active at practice this week, it hasn't felt like he's coming off an injury.
LB Terrance Smith will be out for a second straight week while OL Kareem Are is questionable. He also said RB Mario Pender is out as is TE Jeremy Kerr.
EARLY REPORT
The team is practicing in shells, as usual on Thursday. They'll be going about 90 minutes or so and then holding some team meetings.
Things seemed to be looking better on the injury front, except for OL Kareem Are (knee) and LB Terrance Smith (ankle). Both are still being held out and doing rehab. So it looks like Ro'Derrick Hoskins and Reggie Northrup will be starting at LB again, and the OL should be the same: Johnson, Mavety, Hoefeld, Bell and Kelly.
From the good news department, Dalvin Cook looked totally fine (as Fisher indicated on the call-in show Wednesday night). LB Sh'Mar Kilby-Lane also was back in practice. DB Nate Andrews probably still isn't 100 percent, but he is doing everything, as far as we could tell.
DE Chris Casher was dressed, but he was spending a lot of time with the training staff. So not sure if his knee is acting up or something. DE Lorenzo Featherston continues to look fine, so I think he's close to full speed now. He played some last Saturday. TE Jeremy Kerr remains out with a concussion.
That's about it for now. Will have more (including video) after Jimbo talks at 6.
