Safe to say Friday's series opener for the Florida State baseball team at Pittsburgh did not go according to plan. The Seminoles managed just three hits and were shut out for the first time this season in a 1-0 loss, squandering a stellar start from Jamie Arnold on the mound.
No. 8 FSU (36-11, 14-10 in ACC) will look to right the ship and even the series in Game 2 of the weekend set Saturday at 3:45 p.m. (ACC Network Extra) at Charles L. Cost Field in Pittsburgh.
FSU will start junior righty Carson Dorsey (4-2, 3.86 ERA) against Pitt starting pitcher senior righty Jack Sokol (5-3, 5.43).
