Much higher budget, much more transparent storyline. Also, it looks like they remade the original a few years ago, was on Starz or Encore or something a few weeks back. Was not tempted to give it a look.

I heard a lot of negative things about Annihilation, but I actually enjoyed the movie. Was not the dumpster fire I was expecting, even if the actions of the characters and reasoning of the missions didn't make any sense.
