Do you watch the same ones many times through the years?

My family doesn’t get it

For instance “ the great outdoors”, I’ve seen probably 10 time yet still crack up when he shoots the bear in the azz

The Rocky movies, The Godfather, Good fellows man too many to name

So am i a psycho for this?

Big reason why I haven't flipped from U-Verse yet. I have a rotation of a half dozen movies that just chill in the DVR. Shawshank, Full Metal Jacket, Major League (the original), American Psycho...

Watched most of these over 20 times. Would much rather watch a very good movie 20 times, than just watch any movie.

Man on Fire
Dune
Goodwill Hunitng
Town
Bourne
Gladiator
Léon
Once Upon A Time In The West
The Good, The Bad And The Ugly
Lucky Number Sleven
Snatch
Layer Cake
The Shawshank Redemption
The Four Feathers
The Girl with the Dragon tattoo (with and w/o subtitles)
Gallipoli
Green Mile
For a Few Dollars More
A Beautiful Mind
V for Vendetta

Two movies I tend to watch a lot are The Big Lebowski and Smokey and the Bandit. But no, I think there are more folks like you than you think.

Nope, I don't rewatch movies very much, even some of my very favorites I've seen only a handful of times. I'd say 4-7 times is the average for my favorites. I've got three kids, and I've revisited all my favorites with each of them as they get age appropriate, so typically something like say Goodfellas or Silence of the Lambs, I've saw it maybe 2-3 times before kids. Then another time with each of them as they got old enough.

Other than the scenario of showing it to someone...I pretty much won't rewatch movies. I liked Guardians of the Galaxy a lot, but we saw it as a family...I will never rewatch that, unless it's with grandchildren maybe some day.

But if I sit down to watch something myself or my wife and I, no I'm pretty much never going to pop in something I've already seen and know. I'll never be able to relate to people who purchase hundreds and hundreds of DVDs or blu rays...I certainly would never ever rewatch 95% of the movies I've seen in my life.

That is one fine list. Some on there I haven't seen that I will now. Thanks!

Not so much with these days with so many good TV series and reality TV but back in the VHS era, we would watch our favorites often.

Thanks, to Youtube I can go back and watch my favorite scenes and clips of certain movies.

Watching movies many times is not that much different than reading the same books over and over.

Original Bourne movies
Austin Powers movies
Goodfellas
Godfather movies
Caddyshack
Bagger Vance
Jaws
Old James Bonds
Dirty Harry movies
Shawshank
Pulp Fiction
Sixth Sense

Major props for Layer Cake. One of my favorites as well.

Nobody mentioned "Tombstone"? Or maybe I just missed it.

That's one I'll watch over again and again.
Also, Princess Bride
James Bond movies
Godfather 1 & 2 only
Shawshank Redemption
Animal House
Caddyshack
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
just to name a few.

Almost forgot, Seabiscuit and Secretariat.
I also do a run through of many baseball movies when spring training starts

I used to watch movies multiple times but now I tend to switch them, even if they're legendary.

I tried to re-watch Tombstone again the other day. I got through it, but it didn't hold up at all. I was surprised and disappointed. It ruined a great memory for me.
