Florida State baseball freshman first baseman Myles Bailey has earned an invitation to the 2025 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp in Cary, North Carolina.
Bailey is one of 56 non-draft-eligible college players invited to the training camp from June 29-July 3. A five-game Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad series will be played before USA Baseball names the final Collegiate National Team.
Thirty FSU players have participated with the Collegiate National Team, most recently current junior left-handed starter Jamie Arnold, who was on the team in the summer of 2024.
The Team USA accolade comes after Bailey was named a Freshman First Team All-American by Perfect Game on Tuesday. Selected to the Tallahassee Regional All-Regional Team, he earned ACC All-Tournament Team accolades and was recognized on the ACC All-Freshman Team to highlight an impressive inaugural collegiate campaign.
Bailey finished the season ranked No. 2 in the ACC in home runs (19) and No. 7 in slugging percentage (.663). While starting 56 games at first base, he hit .327 with 66 hits, 11 doubles and 56 RBI. Bailey scored 50 runs with 134 total bases and walked 32 times in 202 at-bats. He stole four bases in five attempts. In the field, Bailey notched a .990 fielding percentage with 384 putouts.
A Tallahassee, Florida, native, Bailey helped the Seminoles to a second consecutive NCAA Super Regional appearance in 2025 with a 42-16 record. FSU went 17-10 in the conference and finished in second place with a .630 winning percentage. The ACC runner-up finish and No. 2 seed at the conference tournament were the team’s best since 2014.
The first game of USA Baseball’s Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad series will be held at Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis, North Carolina, at 5:35 p.m. ET, on June 29. The next three games, from June 30-July 2, will be played at USA Baseball’s National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina, at 6:30 p.m. ET, and the series finale will be hosted at Segra Stadium in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on July 3 at 6:35 p.m. ET. The Collegiate National Team will play in the 45th USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star Championship Series in various locations across Japan from July 8-13. The remaining players from the Collegiate National Team Training Camp will play in a Fourth of July game against the Appalachian League Select Team at Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis at 6:35 p.m. ET.
