We went with Asheville, found a great cabin with stunning views in Magey Valley

Been to Cataloochee many times, fun place for all skill levels.

Does anyone know how “open” Asheville is due to COVID? Was thinking of checking it out in April but don’t want to go until it’s mostly or completely open. I’d think April is a safe bet.

Went in the summer and then for the leaf change. Not any trouble at all.

We went with Asheville, found a great cabin with stunning views in Magey Valley

well worth venturing out from Asheville on day excursions. We stayed in Cashiers (great little town with some really good restaurants) during the summer and spent time in Asheville and Brevard. The hiking and waterfalls are fantastic. I had my mountain bike with me, Pisgah National Forest in Brevard has some of the best trails available in the US.
