Netflix has made some amazing original series on their networks, but I've noticed lately that they're flooding the service with a ton of their own original movies. I've now tried to watch about 5 of them and every single one of them was absolute garbage.

Are there any Netflix Original Movies that are actually worth watching?

A lot of them are %*%*. But I liked Okja, Mudbound, Beasts of No Nation, 1922 and the much maligned but actually perfectly fine Bright.

I liked Okja, and Bright was fine, as stated above.

The few others I have tried to watch (Extinction, How It Ends, and Mute) were awful.

I actually made it through to the end of "How It Ends" ... spoiler alert, it ends poorly.

The reason the movies aren't great is pretty much because every other studio passed on them.

Netflix shows and documentaries are great, the films are almost always a miss.

Adam Sandler did a movie called Sandy Wexler...omg it might be the worst movie ever made. I wouldn’t be surprised if he claims that it was a hoax and was meant to be awful.

Also, the series Wet Hot American Summer....wow, it was awful!

Netflix - Austrailian series called Sisters is pretty good and original.

I really liked What Happened to Monday, Gerald’s Game, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and Mute. Mudbound, Okja, and 1922 are also excellent. Bright was fine, but I was irked by the sense that it was an alien nation ripoff.
