New college basketball Adidas scandal catches 4 coaches including Auburn

Looks like Pitino officially has been fired.

Where does he wind up, since UL is already off the list, Auburn seems like the next most likely place to embrace a shady coach. How are the strip clubs in Auburn?

I was wondering that myself. But while basketball is FAR below football when it comes to interest and money, the individual players are far more valuable. Having one great player in football means nothing really otherwise Derwin James would have us undefeated. But having one great player in Bball is usually all that's needed. Obviously more is better, but if you said who do you think is going to win in bball a team with a bunch of average players and one who is the best in his position or a team with a bunch of above average players with no superstar, I'm taking the superstar everyday. In Football and baseball, I'm taking the opposite.
That and NFL player endorsements are way less valuable than NBA deals. I don't think the shoe companies even make individual player cleats, whereas the top NBA players all have a line of sneakers dedicated to them that are sold by the thousands for daily wear.

If I had to guess, I would say not in college ball ever again. The man carries a huge amount of baggage with him. If he ends up anywhere it would MAYBE be in the NFL or probably more so like Nolan Richardson coaching some team outside the US.

I could see outside of the US, not in the collegiate level, but could also see a Div2 taking a chance after a couple years.

That is possible I suppose. If Dave Bliss can get a job albeit at a HS, I suppose Pitino could get a DII gig.

I like the Cook story below that one:

Vikings Coaching Staff Refuses To Panic About Flickering Dalvin Cook

MINNEAPOLIS, MN—Saying the rookie running back was merely “working through something,” members of the Minnesota Vikings coaching staff told reporters Tuesday that they are not going to panic over a flickering Dalvin Cook. “Yeah, we’ve been seeing Dalvin blinking in and out of sight a few times, but we’re not really concerned,” said offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, confirming rumors that the starting tailback had been spotted fluttering in and out of the visible spectrum after their last game, but that trainers had cleared him to participate in all team activities this week. “Today, he quickly disappeared for a brief second before flashing back into sight, but we asked him about it and he said he was fine. We’re keeping it on our radar, and we’ll give [running back] Latavius [Murray] some extra reps this week just in case, but we’re confident Dalvin’s going to be 100 percent on Sunday.” Shurmur then added it would be premature to rule out Stefon Diggs for Sunday’s game after the wide receiver dissolved into a gaseous ball.
