In a strange plot twist, I had a UM buddy send me a twitter stream of Matt Gaetz speaking about the NIL deal and the legislation in Congress.
To paraphrase Gaetz: A partnership with Seminole Hardrock would put you in a different category of funds available. He says ticket sales and merch do better as FSU does better. That being said, the Deion deal was brokered through Barstool sports and not with personal funds. We don't have numbers, but it's a good assumption.
This is how we compete, boys. It's not merch or ticket sales. This is a logical partnership. If Texas has oil, and Alabama has taxpayers and media rights, this is our in. The mutual interest as far as media, shows, community participation and income streams would be relevant. The business expansion opportunities for both are convincing.
And in this world, this strange world --- The more ticket sales that Miami pushes and the better they do at the Seminole Hardrock, the more revenue that goes to FSU...hhhaaaaa
Ethics be damned this world is now free market capitalism and should be treated as such.
