I cant believe I stayed up past 1am to watch that. I jumped out of bed on that hit with bases loaded only to collapse back into bed and turn the tv off and try to go to sleep. Sucked.
Going to begrudgingly give the Sox credit though. That OF is amazing and that throw by betts to 2nd to get Kemp was incredible, the final catch wasnt too shabby either. They have an uncanny ability to get runs in the clutchest spots, even from the bottom of their lineup. Winning 3 in a row is going to be a challenge.
Clemens is the only pitcher to come to mind. He needed steroids though to do it.
Happy for Price to get that monkey off his back. He pitched great tonight.
That change up was unhittable for the most part. He and Eovaldi stepped up big time in this series. Kimbrel looked better last night, he's been a heart attack waiting to happen.

True. Boston has been the best team in baseball this year and proved that in this series. I doubt anyone would've bet they would go to Houston and sweep the three games.

Yeah, I was less than thrilled when they brought him in for the 9th. I'd have probably left in Eovaldi.
The way the Astros were hacking at everything, they could have rolled or H.W. Bush to pitch...
That's why I don't want to see anything done about the defensive shifts. It's become homerun or strikeout and nothing in between. Learn to hit situationally.

There are hardly any players in MLB anymore that know how to cut down on their swing and just get the ball in play. The announcers last night even said the Dodgers don't really have anyone that will cut down on their swing to increase contact. For an old timer like myself, it is very frustrating to watch.
