I thought it was very funny/entertaining. As to value of the commercial, I'm not sure - primarily because I have no idea/no recollection of what was being advertised.

It was an NFL commercial to honor "future TD celebrations everywhere".
Which is basically advertising nothing. So an advertisement that advertising nothing is overwhelmingly voted best advertisement of the year. That says a lot about hot crappy the rest of the ads were.... and they were lackluster at best
